We review entries and choose the best performers for each show based on their talents. The material artists send in is put together in packages and used to promote both the YAMS event and the artists themselves.
Each set consists of a 10-15 instrumental live performance, so each artist will perform 2-3 songs on the day. We aim for all sets to be live, so if you have a band, that’s great! However, we do make exceptions for backing tracks and they’re welcome to be used if the performer is accompanied by instruments. Own instruments must be used on the day, unless otherwise stipulated. Please provide a biography in Word format as we would like to use it to market you on our social media pages. Additionally, two to three professional, clear pictures without text or labels on them would be ideal. Please ensure that they are high resolution and web-compatible. Kindly provide your social media handles so that we can follow you and help grow your fan base. Lastly, there is an entry fee of R200 which is required to secure your set on the day. Please note that this fee only applies if you have been selected.
